Asahi False Sunflower

With its cheerful, petite, golden-yellow pom-poms, this compact sun worshipper brings vibrant color to any garden from midsummer through falls first frost. An outstanding pollinator magnet, Asahi False Sunflower stands up to 36″ tall and makes a splendid addition to cottage gardens, mixed borders or mass plantings near walkways. Perfect for both fresh and dried arrangements, this drought-tolerant, low-maintenance perennial multiplies vigorously each season, creating a dense, floriferous display that thrives in well-drained soil and at least some sun. While its tidy growth habit requires minimal care, regular deadheading encourages continuous flowering and prevents unwanted self-seeding. Consider planting alongside contrasting colors that will catch the eye and have butterflies, bees and other beneficial pollinators visiting all season long.
