Little Henry Sweetspire

A delightful shrub for massing in perennial and shrub borders, Little Henry Itea is widely adaptable to sun or shade and a variety of soil conditions. Plants thrive in moist soils, making an ideal selection for planting along the edges of streams and water gardens, or planting in rain gardens and low-lying areas. Also gorgeous as a thriller in container plantings. Plants tolerate some drought once established. The unique flowers brighten the edges of woodland gardens. For best flowering and fall color, provide a few hours of sun each day. Autumn color is held over a long period, often lasting into the early days of winter. In hot climates, afternoon shade is ideal. Little Henry Itea requires very little pruning or other maintenance. Prune after flowering if shaping is desired. Deer resistant.
