New Arrival Phenomenal Lavender

Phenomenal: the Lavender Plant that Changed the Whole Growing Game

24 – 32 Tall x 24 – 32 Wide. Phenomenal Lavender PP#24193 caused an audible wave of excitement to pass over the US the day it was introduced! Finally, a rugged and hardy lavender that can handle both harsh winters and taxing humidity with grace. Phenomenal has made lavender an accessible garden plant for many who thought they could never grow this treasured perennial.

While it does exhibit resistance to humidity-related diseases such as root rot and fungal infections, Phenomenal, like other lavenders, should not be planted in wet or slow-draining soils. Lavender gardeners will always have the best luck with full sun and gritty soil (or fast-draining container mixes). This highly-fragrant, deer-proof lavender works beautifully when sited along walkways, paths, fence lines, and other property borders, as long as conditions allow. As an edible lavender, it’s also a charming addition to veggie gardens and herb knots. For detailed planting and care instructions, visit How to Grow Lavender.

Phenomenal is known for its silvery foliage and deep-blue to purple 5 flower spikes. Its flowers are exceptionally beautiful, making it a great addition to centerpieces and bouquets. When in bloom, this plants compact growth habit begins to expand outward, reaching up to a 32″ x 32″ spread. Due to its color and scent, butterflies and bees are very attracted to Phenomenal, making it a popular choice for pollinator gardens.

With its elevated levels of essential oil, Phenomenal Lavender is a great choice for creating dried arrangements, sachets & potpourris, soap making, and other crafts.
